My Dear Marcia, You were beautiful but more then that you were so sweet with so much kindness. You will be missed by so many but the pain is all gone now. You sure were a courages person, just like your Father, your Mother, Grandmother and many others. You came from great stock, i was glad to call you my cousin. You mattered to so many but we will all see you again, and I'm looking forward to that day. I loved you very much, ever since you were little girl. Until we meet again, God Bless You. My condolences to all of Marcia's family, friends and especially to Mario and their 2 children. Love Mary Ellen

A group of girls from St Joseph's and several girls and boys from Somerville High congregated near Marcia's house--a location for our informal alliance, which we dubbed Sieve Village. Marcia's parents, as well as the McMahons and the McKennas, welcomed us all. I met Marcia there and worked with her and several others during the summers at the County Courthouse, thanks to Senator McKenna. Turbulent times for teenagers to navigate: Civil rights riots, moon landings, the Women's Movement, Woodstock, Vietnam. We all graduated from high school, some fought and were wounded in Vietnam, and many of us went on to college and grad and postgrad school. We relocated for careers and marriages. There has always been a thread of connection among us, however, keeping those memories of our youth alive, and sharing the highlights of our adult lives. And so, even though I live in Florida, and have not lived in Massachusetts since 1972, the passing of sweet Marcia was shared with me. I mourn her passing, extend my heartfelt sympathy to her family, and all the members of Sieve Village.
Regards, Marie

Hi Mario, Lauren, and Michael,
It is with great sadness to write this message to you. Marcia was one of a kind. I have so many great memories and she has been a true example for many of us. I had the occasion to work with her for many years at Sybase as well as travelling to different countries in the world and meet up with her for work but also after work where she shared a lot about her family, the struggles for health and Lauren to follow her husband.
In Boston, she always made time for dinner and laughter after work or during Thanksgiving where the office was full of food. I will deeply miss her and wish you all the strengths with this great loss. Heaven has a new Angel. I am so happy that I had the pleasure to work closely with her and will never forget her attention, smile and positiveness.

Marcia was the greatest, but yet I don’t have to tell anyone that. I have too many memories to count, but one of my favorites is bowling with her. Me as a 10 pin guy and Her as a candlepin champ, to this day I still can’t figure out how she made it look so easy. Our bowlers rivalry will forever be one I cherish and when we meet again I am ready for that rematch. Until then I will get to practicing. You will forever be missed and in my heart. Love you Mom, Your Son-in-law - Ky

Hi Mario, Lauren and Michael,
It is with great sorrow I write this note. I worked many years with Marcia at Sybase. I was a first hand witness to her intelligence, kindness, strength and career advancement. She was the go-to person in her organization. She was one of those people that was referred to only by her first name, but all knew who you were talking about. She had an excellent global reputation. She was a bright light during all the ups and downs. I will always be in her debt as she made my job easier.
She spoke often about the three of you. Clearly you were the center piece of her life. She was very proud of all of you. You were very fortunate she was your wife and mother.
I will miss Marcia. I will always smile when I think of her.
Best wishes, David Ridlon
