Obituary of David Joseph Bulhoes

David Joseph Bulhoes passed away after a short illness on Thursday October 1, 2020 at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.  He was 35 years old.  David was born in Melrose.  He was a lifelong resident of Billerica.  Athletics and fitness have been an especially important part of David’s life.  As a child he excelled in all the sports he participated in.  At Billerica High School, he was a member of the varsity lacrosse and soccer teams.  He furthered his education at Lasell College where he earned both his Bachelor of Science and master’s degree in Sports Management.  He was a member of the college’s varsity lacrosse team as well.  As an adult, he played lacrosse for the Portugal Lacrosse team in Massachusetts and played club soccer with friends.  He spent his working career as a sales manager for Pure Hockey and as an Aquatic Trainor at the Boston Sports Club for the past 6 years.

David loved sharing his love of sports with his children, Paige, and Mason.  He introduced them to all his favorite sports and plus more.  They had a lacrosse stick in their hand as soon as they could walk.  He taught them to swim, play soccer, to hike, and appreciate the outdoors.  He got him so excited to see them continue his competitive spirit.  He and his fiancée, Kayla, have been a couple for the past 9 years.  They enjoyed raising their children together, sharing family-oriented lifestyle, and having a great circle of friends.

David was the fiancée of Kayla Sherman of Billerica for the past 7 years.  He was the proud and loving father of Paige Bulhoes and Mason Bulhoes.  He was the son of Mary Bulhoes of Billerica and the late Mario Bulhoes.  He was the brother of Mario “Marty” Bulhoes of Danvers.  He was the future son-in-law of James Sherman of Billerica and Lisa Sherman of Tyngsboro.
