Obituary of Marina Shub

Marina Shub, of Woburn, passed away Tuesday November 10th, 2020 of natural causes peacefully, with her family by her side. She was 80 years old. Marina was born in 1940 in Russia where she grew up and was educated. She attended college in Russia and worked as an engineer. Marina came to America for a better life in 1980 with her husband and children and settled in Danbury, Connecticut. After several years, she moved to Massachusetts living in Tewksbury, Andover and Woburn. Marina had a great will to live and enjoy her life to the best of her ability. She  loved to cook and spent countless hours cooking delicious meals for her family and friends. She loved to travel to Florida and Cape Cod. Every summer in Cape Cod she enjoyed creating a beautiful garden in her yard and taking excellent care of it. She was an excellent artist and shopping enthusiast. She enjoyed shoe shopping and always strived to find the best deal. She was a very social person, having several friends, but her favorite times were when she was able to spend time with her children and grandchildren. 

Marina was the beloved wife of the late Arkady Shub and the loving mother of Helen Donovan, of Andover, and the late Igor Shub. She was the proud grandmother or “Babu” to Rachel, Hannah and Olivia Donovan, of Andover. Graveside services will be held on Sunday November 15th, 2020 at 12:30pm at the Temple Emanuel Cemetery, Lakeside Ave. off of North St., Wakefield. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
