To the Dion family I was sad to see of Jim’s passing he was a good man. We sat at Dunkin Donuts a lot just laughing and reminiscing of the old days. He always told me stories of him and my father,Tom Flaherty, getting at each other. But always in fun. We all have missed Jim these past several months and was hoping he was doing better. He would always talk about his wife and especially his kids. With sadness. RIP Jim Tom Flaherty

Hi Rachel, I am so very sorry for your loss. Your grandfather sounds like he was a true blessing for you and your family. Please thank whoever wrote his obituary, because it gave me such a wonderful picture of the man. I love people who give their full attention to people when they listen to them (doesn't everybody?!). That is a rare and needed quality in this busy world. I am sure you and your family will miss him very much. My heart goes out to you all. But he sounds like an elder who showed the family an honest and caring way to live, and to live to the fullest. May his example and the love he gave you carry you all forward in these strange, difficul and historic times.
