Obituary of Barbara Eaton

Barbara J. (Plumer) Eaton of Woburn passed away at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center of Burlington on Sunday, December 20th, 2020.  Barbara was 81 years old.

 

Barbara was born in Somerville, Massachusetts.  She was one of seven children born to the late Ralph and Loretta Plumer..  Barbara was raised in Massachusetts and educated in Wilmington, Massachusetts.  Growing up in a large family brought many advantages to Barbara.  She always had someone to talk to or play with.  Her sisters and brothers became her closest friends and were always there supporting her.

 

Eaton, Barbara J. (Plumer) of Woburn passed away at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center of Burlington on Sunday, December 20th, 2020.  Barbara was 81 years old.

 

Barbara was born in Somerville, Massachusetts.  She was one of seven children born to the late Ralph and Loretta Plumer..  Barbara was raised in Massachusetts and educated in Wilmington, Massachusetts.  Growing up in a large family brought many advantages to Barbara.  She always had someone to talk to or play with.  Her sisters and brothers became her closest friends and were always there supporting her.

 

When Barbara was younger she enjoyed the serenity of water and looked forward to her visits to Plum Island in Massachusetts.  Barbara raised her son Max (Ken) in Salem, New Hampshire.  In 1986 she moved to Maine where she worked as a receptionist for MRI Department at Maine Medical Center for over 14 years.  In 2002 Barbara moved to Massachusetts to be closer to her family.  Barbara lived at the Woburn Elderly Housing.  Barbara was a homebody and loved reading.  She enjoyed spending times with sisters, brothers and her neighbors.  She would even have card games at her apartment which lead to lots of belly laughs.  She loved being with people.  She had a beautiful little flower garden in front of her apartment that kept her busy every year.  Barbara was happy hear her son, Max, married Jean in 2006.  Max and Jean had a home filled with puppies that she adored when she visited.  Barbara called them her "Grandpuppies".   She even kept a picture of them in her wallet.   Barbara had a love for Life and a Greater Love for her Family.

 

Barbara was the beloved Mother of Kenneth (Max) Beach and his wife Jean Resendes of New Hampshire.  She was the beloved sister of Ralph Plumer of Wilmington, John (Ray) Plumer of New Hampshire, Esther Cullivan of Lawrence, Frederick Plumer of Stoneham, Margaret Lennerton of Hooksett, NH and the late Loretta Smalley.  Barbara is also survived by many Loving Nieces and Nephews.  Funeral Services were private.
