Obituary of Aurora Rodriguez
Aurora (Perez) Rodriguez, passed away at the Woodbriar of Wilmington Nursing Center, on Sunday morning, January 20, 2013. Aurora The beloved wife of Lazaro Rodriguez, she was 88 years old.
Aurora was born, raised and educated in Cuba, where she worked as a Kindergarten teacher. She was one of four children born to the late Pedro Perez and Pilar Del Valle. Aurora and her husband Lazaro were married on August 4, 1956. In 1968 they came to the United States with their two children. Aurora worked as an Assembler at Instrument Labs in Watertown for over 20 years. Aurora’s life was all about being with her family. She and her husband enjoyed attending the social and cultural activities at the Cuban Cultural Club in Boston. She loved providing a home for her family; cooking family dinners and entertaining during the holidays. She was very blessed to be a part of her 4 grandchildren’s lives and she loved to indulge them and also her nieces and nephews. Aurora was blessed to live a life that spanned 88 years spent with a loving family.
Aurora was the beloved wife of 56 years of Lazaro. Loving father of Peter Rodriguez & his wife Marcia of Burlington and Ana Malecki & her husband Antony of Windham, NH. Sister of the late Maria Castro, Blas Perez, and Hortencia Marcaida. Grandmother of Eric & Diana Rodriguez and Christina & Jacqueline Malecki.
Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt., 128 Woburn side) on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 796 Boston Road, Billerica at 11 a.m. Visiting hours Wednesday 3-7 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers memorials in Aurora’s name may be made to Minuteman Senior Services, 26 Crosby Drive Bedford, MA 01730.
