Obituary of James B Catalano
James B. Catalano passed away at the Sawtelle Family Hospice House on Sunday, February 21, 2021. James was born and raised in Lexington. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving his country during World War II. James was the recipient of the American Area Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal. After the service he went on to become a fire fighter working for his hometown of Lexington. He achieved the rank of Captain. After his retirement James worked at the family florist located on the family farm called Whitehouse Gardens. James made beautiful floral arrangements and he was well liked and respected by all his customers. He closed the business in 2019. James was a man of deep faith and attended daily Mass for many years. James will be lovingly remembered as a kind and unselfish man.
James was the loving brother of Robert of Lexington, Josephine Fogarty of Westborough, and Anne Mueller of Woburn. Predeceased by brothers and sisters. A visitation will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128/95 Woburn side) on Thursday, Feb. 25 from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brigid Church, 2001 Mass Ave., Lexington at Noon. Burial to follow in Westview Cemetery, Lexington.
