So sad to hear about Ann’s passing. She & Chuck were amazing friends to my parents, Nancy & Ben Frank. I have great memories staying at 33 Beaver Brook Road for visits with our family of 6 all crowded together running all over the house playing. How they could stand the noise I don’t know. Must have been the wine. ;-) Ann so generously opened her doors to us when we returned from dads active duty in Africa in 1969. It was January and we were so excited to sled down that huge hill and watch their color TV! I will always remember her constant smiling eyes and joyfulness. What a blessing she was to all. Our sincere condolences to the family.

Oh, Annie. My second mum. Growing up, even through my teenage years, there was always light and fascinating conversation at the kitchen table, yours or ours, around iced tea with Ann and my mom, Kay. She really was ahead of her time. She knew a lot about a lot. I would always learn something from a chat with Ann. Either about myself, herself, politics, religion, tennis or how we should all "behave". Nothing ever was of the table. She was one I looked up to whose opinions I sought out. To this day I can't understand how she played tennis so well with no depth perception. Just one of those things Ann overcame. I know there is a great discussion going on up there and iced tea is involved. Lots of hugs to you Chris, Tracy, Julie, Kirk and Ellen and your extended families.

Dear Holmquest family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Ann was a great lady. I have many memories with her and Chuck; political campaigns and conventions, ski weekends in Maine and so much more. She was always smiling and very welcoming and she will be sorely missed.

Ann and I became friends in first grade at Hosmer School, Fitchburg. I have so many memories of our years as friends, too many to list. I used to tease her because she was a terrible speller! We double dated in high school, attended track meets, football, basketball games and every school function there was. We choreographed assemblies at B.F.Brown Jr. High and FHS, the Variety Revue at FHS; you name it we were involved! Our husbands, both Chucks, were in the Air Force although never stationed at the same base. In our later years, as widows, Ann, our friend Nancy Moses and I met monthly for lunch in Acton to brag about our children and grandchildren, share memories and laugh. I believe we three ladies were blessed with so many good things in lives most of all our families and our friendship. The tears are flowing as I write this; farewell dear Ann, I'm sure we will meet again.

Our hearts are broken to imagine life without Anne. She was a friend extrodinere. We had more than a boatload of fun over the years with Anne and Chuck. I have so many stories and crazy, fun filled memories that I will always treasure. Anne was the first person through the door when troubles came to visit. She always fiercely supported her friends. Rest In Peace my beautiful friend.

My deepest condolences to the Holmquest crew, your mom/grandmother had the best laugh and most wonderful sense of humor. She was a stable force for my mom Marianne when they served in the statehouse - I remember those years as stressful but they found the humor in the day to day frustrations. If I was lucky enough to hear the stories they were very very funny. Mom and Dad adored her (and Chuck) and they spent many Saturday nights out to dinner exploring restaurants near and far. After dad and Chuck passed away I think they became even closer with weekly lunches, bridge games and general companionship. The world is a little less brighter without Ann’s light, but in heaven the wine glasses are clinking. RIP Annie, say hi to Mom for me.
