Obituary of Pasquale Ciccariello
Pasquale Ciccariello, a resident of Burlington for 57 years, passed away after an extended illness at home with his family at his bedside on Saturday morning, March 20, 2021. He was 88 years old. Pasquale was born in Gaeta, Italy. He was one of three sons born to Cosmo and Gilda Ciccariello. He grew up on the family farm in Gaeta. As expected, he worked the farm from a very early age until the age of 20. He fulfilled his Italian military service requirement as a member of the Italian Navy. It was not long after his 2 years in the Navy that Pasquale chose to immigrate to the United States in 1955. He settled in Somerville and married his first wife, Carmina, in 1956. They settled in Burlington in 1964.
Pasquale was a hard working and very proud man. He worked at VIP Vending for over 15 years and then worked at Locke Manufacturing for the last 10 years of his working career, he occasionally worked a second job to help make ends meet. He retired at the age of 65. His wife Carmina passed away in 1989. In 1991 he married Michelle Riccio. He and Michelle enjoyed traveling during their retirement years. They returned to Gaeta Italy to visit family and old friends most every summer. Pasquale’s passion was his garden and especially his tomatoes and basil. Always in abundance he would share his harvest with family, friends, and neighbors. It was his way of expressing his friendship to others. Loving the sport of soccer, he was thrilled to see his sons share that passion for the game. He was blessed to have 2 beautiful and loving women in his life whom he cherished and loved deeply. He will be remembered as a man who came to the United States with little money, unable to speak English and with the help of family and hard work to achieved the American dream of having a loving family, and able to enjoy his passions.
Pasquale was the beloved husband of Michelle (Riccio) Ciccariello and the late Carmina (Ciano) Ciccariello. Loving father of Anthony & his wife Leslie of Billerica and the late Cosmo. Proud grandfather of Erika and Andrew Ciccariello. Brother of Joseph of Wilmington and the late Mario. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V.
