Obituary of Lidia Del Buono

Lidia L. (Pieri) Del Buono, passed away at the Wilmington Nursing Center, on Friday morning, January 25, 2013. The beloved wife of the late James she was 90 years old. Lidia was born, raised and educated in Italy. She was one of six children born to the late Ranier and Julia Pieri. In 1946 Lidia moved to the United States. Lidia worked for the family business Langone Delcraft Monogramming Studio for many years as an embroiderer. Lidia had many loyal customers and after the company closed she would continue to do monogramming for them out of her home. Lidia came from a close family who always watched out for and took care of each other in times of need. She enjoyed being with family sharing holiday dinners, playing cards or just being together. Lidia was the beloved wife of the late James. She was the stepmother of Jim Del Buono of Hampton, NH & his late wife Anna and the late Marie Teresa Santorio. Loving sister of Romano Pieri & his wife Doriana, John Pieri & his wife Cathy, Anna Perin & her late husband Jack, Silvana Leone & her late husband Louis and Romana Pieri all of Woburn. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A visiting hour will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Monday, January 28 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anthony’s Church, 851 Main St., Woburn at 11 a.m. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. In lieu of flowers donations in Lidia’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
