Obituary of Marion Judy Castellano
Marion “Judy” Castellano, an Administrative Assistant at Polaroid, passed away on Friday night, January 25, 2013. She was 73 years old.
Judy was born in Cambridge, the daughter of the late Daniel and Ernestine O’Connell. She grew up in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge High and Latin. In her early 20’s she went to work at Polaroid as an assembler. She worked her way off the manufacturing floor to eventually become the Administrative Assistant to one of the Vice Presidents of Polaroid. She enjoyed her career and her coworkers. She retired after 44 years of service. Outside of work, Judy enjoyed working around her home and yard. She liked going to Bingo with family and friends. She was blessed to have been a part of her great grandson, Daniel’s life. She had an extremely closed bond with her sisters, and loved the “Girls Days Out” spent shopping and going to lunch. She had many pets over the years, which she adored.
Judy was the beloved wife of the late James J. Castellano. She was the mother of Judith Oresick of Burlington and grandmother of Katie Lee Kenney of Burlington and Fallon Ann Oresick of Nashua, NH. She was the great grandmother of Daniel Kenney of Burlington. She was the sister of Helen Bonasoro of Burlington, Carol Dotalo of Billerica, Daniel O’Connell of Carver, Michael O’Connell of Peabody,Richard O’Connell of N. Andover and William O'Connell of Derry, NH. Judy was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON, (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Wednesday, January 30 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Followed by a Graveside Service at Pine Haven Cemetery, Bedford St., Burlington at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Judy’s name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 10 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
