Emily Marie (Baldrate-Stanikmas) Banville passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday night, April 28, 2021. She was just 30 years old.

Emily was born in Leominster.  She was raised in Boxboro.  Emily had a happy, active, and fun-filled childhood.  She had a competitive edge and found an outlet by playing on the Acton-Boxboro Youth Soccer Team and competing as a member of the R.J. Grey Junior High cheerleading squad.  She performed on flute and piccolo for the Blanchard Memorial School orchestra and marching bands in Boxboro.  She played and marched in the Boxboro Memorial Day and Fifer’s Day parades and other town celebrations.

Emily loved reading and was a talented writer. She enjoyed writing poetry, short stories and memoirs. She even started her own political blog.   She loved being outdoors.  Walking was one of her favorite pastimes, and a trip to the ocean was never to be missed. Emily was a devoted mother and doted on her two children, Madison and Carter.  There wasn’t a thing she wouldn’t do for them.

Emily was very interested in law and was thrilled to work in Attorney James Tabner’s office in Concord. She was also taking an online course on the U.S. Constitution through Hillsdale College.

Emily married Steven Banville on July 7, 2018 at the Acton Arboretum, near the butterfly garden.  They were committed to each other in marriage and had a wonderful life together.  They enjoyed taking joy rides, watching sunsets at Prospect Hill, and just being with each other.  They were the best of friends and they were soul mates.

Emily will be remembered for her sweetness, her innocence, her loving heart, her devotion, her generosity, and the joy she brought into everyone’s lives.

Emily was the beloved wife of Steven Banville.  She was the loving mother of Madison Baldrate-Rivard and Carter Stanikmas.  She is the daughter of Karl Baldrate & stepdaughter of his wife Olga Khmil of Burlington.  She is the daughter of Janice (Powell) Baldrate of Claremore, OK and the Granddaughter of the late Joseph & Marilyn Baldrate and Richard and Betty Powell.   Emily is the niece of Stephen & Pamela Baldrate of Billerica, Jeffrey & Laurie Ann Powell of Claremore, OK and the late Nancy Baldrate.

Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Monday, May 10 at 4 p.m.  Relatives and freinds are welcome to attend the service or view the live stream of the service by going to the link above Emily's obituary.   Visiting hours will follow at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m.  Burial will be private.   In lieu of flowers you are welcome to donate to help with the funeral expenses by going to the GoFundMe page set up by her beloved husband Steven on his facebook page.
