Obituary of Concetta Mary Leone
Concetta Mary “Tina” (Ciarcia) Leone, 94, of Burlington, formerly of Brighton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, June 17. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Leone.
Born in New Britain, Connecticut, and raised in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Michael, and the late Sebastiana Ciarcia. Tina and her late husband Anthony raised their family in Brighton, where they lived for 54 years.
Tina had worked for a number of years as a bookkeeper for Filene’s. She came to Burlington after the death of her husband in 2011, where she was one of the original residents of Stonebridge at Burlington. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Known as “Grandma to her grandchildren, and “Gi Gi” to her great grandchildren, Tina was overjoyed to have seen the birth of her great grandson Leo this past Monday.
Tina is survived by one daughter, Claudia Leone & her husband Henry Scuoteguazza of Norwood; and two sons, Richard Leone & his wife Karen of Bedford, NH, and David Leone & his wife Florence of Burlington. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kristina Scuoteguazza & her husband Benton Belcher, Nicole Scuoteguazza, Julianna Harding & her husband Jonathan and Alyssa Parelli & her husband Frank; and four great grandchildren, Victoria, Christian, Frank & Leo. In addition to her husband Anthony, and her parents, Tina was preceded in death by her sister, the late Rose Crescenzi; and her two brothers, the late Manny and the late Joseph Ciarcia.
Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Tuesday, June 22 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral from the Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 23 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Malachy Church in St. Veronica Parish www.stveronicama.org , 99 Bedford St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow in Calvary Cemetery, 250 High St., Waltham.
