Obituary of Denise Michele Anderson

Denise Michele (Dooley) Anderson, a loving mother, daughter and sister sadly passed on July 30 at the age of 45. Denise grew up in Burlington and was a 1994 graduate of Burlington High School.  She then followed her dream of traveling and became a flight attendant for American Airlines.  She has worked for American for the past 24 years on flight routes all over the country.  During those years she created lasting friendships with crew members and support staff across the country.  Her passing is a loss to all the American Airlines family. Working for the airlines gave her the ability to visit friends and family all over the country, especially her sister and family in Florida.

Denise was also an incredible and loving mom.  She was fun, spontaneous, and her one goal was to bring joy to her children’s lives.  She would take them to animal shelters to play and cuddle with the puppies waiting for adoption.  She loved taking the kids to the beaches of Maine or treating them to a fun night out.  She was the mom in the stands and on the sidelines cheering at all her children’s basketball, softball, and baseball games and school events.  She wanted her children to find what they loved and then follow that passion.

Denise, fondly known by many as Dee, was the family member who brought fun and laughter to family gatherings and holidays.  Dee would never miss the annual family reunion on July 4th in Maine.  She will be remembered for the love she showered upon her family, especially her children, her welcoming smile, incredible sense of humor, caring nature, and making everyone around her feel special.   Denise’s sudden passing will leave a void in the lives of her family and friends.  She was a shooting star that streaked into the hearts of everyone she knew.  Fun Auntie Dee never missed a birthday or an opportunity to celebrate her nieces and nephews.  Her bright spirit and warmth will live on in the hearts of those she touched, especially her children Courtney and Chase.

Denise was the proud and loving mother of Courtney and Chase Anderson.  She was the beloved daughter of Michael and Dianne (Charlton) Dooley of Burlington.  She was the loving sister of Leah Forbes & her husband David of Dunstable, Rachael Pierce & her husband James of Bradenton, FL, and John Dooley & his wife Linda of Burlington.  She was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her four-legged companions Kato and Harper.

Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street Burlington on Tuesday, August 3 from 4-7pm. Funeral mass will be Wednesday, August 4 at 10am at St. Margaret Church in St. Veronica Parish, www.stveronicama.org, 111 Winn St., Burlington, MA 01803. Memorials in Denise’s name may be made to the MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130 or www.mspca.org
