Karen & Bill
Our condolences to you both with the loss of your Mom. I had the privilege of meeting Marylin when she would visit Karen.
Your Mom always had a smile on her face and a very genuine person.
We will keep the Hartford Family in our prayers.
God bless

Karen and Billy,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. Marilyn was just the sweetest lady. I remember meeting her for the first time, when she came to our house and tried on the Bee Costume...she was funny, down to earth, gracious and just lovely. She was genuine and real. Her laugh was infectious; her smile lit up any room. Everyone was comfortable around her; she just had that way about her that was loving to all...the way a mother should be. She will not be forgotten!
You have my prayers for your peace,
Jeanette Douglas

My sisters and I were blessed to have this beautiful lady as our Auntie Marilyn but her and Uncle Billy were also my Godparents. She was so many things but what I remember most was her ability to make people laugh. We always knew arriving at her house, she would have something ready for us as we came in to make us laugh. Her songs, her poems, her costumes, and her stories were always part of the fun that was Auntie Marilyn. Her love of nursing intrigued me as I chose the same path. A special time in my life was at my nurse pinning ceremony. I had one of the most selfless nurses I knew, my Godmother and Aunt pinning me. What an honor! Our family loved her energy, her fun, her joy and her ability to find the laughter in almost anything. We lost her through her recent battle with Alzheimer’s but know she is free now and with Uncle Billy. She’s sitting there telling him everything that had happened since he has been gone and he’s just shaking his head laughing like he did. Auntie, thank you for everything you brought to our family. We will remember you the way you were in life; vivacious, caring, fun and loving. God gives us gifts to share in this world and you used yours fully. Love you and rest in eternal peace.

Karen and Billy, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was so special and always so full of life. She was such a wonderful friend to my mom, who loved her, their times together, and your mom’s Irish bread. May all your treasured memories of happy times together bring you a little peace and comfort in the days ahead. Thinking of you.
