Dear Sandy, Ricky, Jim, and Dave,
I just learned of your mothers passing from my sister Donna today. I'd like to extend my deepest sympathies to all of you. Your mother was a kind and generous person. I have fond memories growing up with your family.

My deepest condolences with each passing of a parent
from the old neighborhood Although with much sadness I believe although we haven’t been together in so long we all realize how fortunate we were to have so many wonderful people such as Mrs McRae a part of our young lives. True meaning of it “Takes a village to raise a child “
Sincerely
Steve wall

Thank you, Steve! I agree, we had a very nice neighborhood where all of the parents pitched in to make sure all of us Baby Boomers didn't get into too much trouble, even though we were definitely "free range kids." Thanks for this nice tribute to our mother.

Dear Members of Nancy Lee McRae’s Family,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss. A very difficult time for all.
Our individual success is due, in great part, to the encouragement of parents and family. We repay their efforts by encouraging future generations.
My parents moved to South Natick in 1948. The Schaller Street neighborhood was a great place in which to grow up. My education started at the Eliot Elementary School in 1950. Fifth grade was completed in June of 1956. Each student promoted to sixth grade was given a Random House “American Everyday Dictionary” endorsed by each teacher who had helped with the journey. I have a photo of these endorsements, but unfortunately cannot add the photo to this note.
A vivid memory is of the third grade syllabus which introduced students to our planet and the solar system. As I reflect on my career, the third grade training influenced my future a great deal.
Miss Helen Hollingsworth, my third grade teacher, was instrumental in preparing me to make my life defining decisions.
Would it be permissible for me to communicate with her and offer my thanks?
