Obituary of Sandra D. Marsolini

Sandra (Derby) Marsolini, born Dec13, 1935 in Lowell, MA, daughter of the late Ralph E. and Frances E. (Plaisted) Derby, passed away at her home in Manchester, NH on Tuesday, Sept 28, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.  She was married to the late Joseph Marsolini for over 40 years before his passing in 1999.  They spent most of their married life in Burlington, MA and Hampton, NH.  She eventually moved to Port Charlotte, FL where she spent many winters enjoying warmer weather.

Sandra was an avid sports fan, and loved to watch the Boston Celtics and the Boston Red Sox, whenever they were on. She competed in women's candlepin bowling while living in Burlington, and also enjoyed playing golf in her later years, participating in women's golf leagues in both NH and FL. She was also an exceptional seamstress, sewing all sorts of things for everyone in the family, whether it be custom tailored pajamas, sport shorts, wheel covers, boat covers, night caps, etc. She could do it all!  Mom also enjoyed cooking, and her meatballs and sauce were legendary within the family! Regardless of the situation, she always had something good ready to eat on the table at the end of the day, or on holidays.

She was a wonderful, loving mother to Barbara (Marsolini) Moore of Hampton, NH; Linda (Marsolini) Noyes and husband, Dana, of Royalton, VT; and Donald D. Marsolini of Chelmsford, MA.  She is also survived by her many grandchildren, Andrea Spinale; Devin Noyes; Rachel (Noyes) Ertel and husband, Dan; Diana (Moore) Johnson; Erica (Moore) Daigneault and husband, Tim; Brian Moore and wife, Madison; Joseph Marsolini; and great grandchildren Alena Johnson, Anna Daigneault and Jack Daigneault.

All are invited to Sandra’s visitation on Saturday, Oct 2, 2021 from 1:00-4:00pm at Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington, MA.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Salvation Army of Manchester, NH, 121 Cedar Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
