Obituary of Graziele Oliveira Lira

Graziele “Grazy” (Oliveira) Lira passed after a short battle with cancer on September 27, 2021. She was only 39 years old.  On July 7, 1982 Graziele was born in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil. She was the daughter of Gentil de Almeida Costa and Sirley Oliveira de Souza.  After growing up in Brazil, Grazy moved to United States at the age of 18, and finished her studies here. 

At the age of 20, she married Thiago Lira and they started a new life together in the United States, living in Massachusetts. Grazy and Thiago were blessed  with two beautiful children whom they lovingly cared for. She has nobly fought off numerous health issues never letting others know the pain and suffering she was experiencing.  She was always positive, wore a smile, and never complained. 

The last four months Grazy has fought bravely against an aggressive stage 4 metastatic pancreatic cancer with the help of her family, friends, and church.  She sadly passed with her husband at her side on Monday September 27, 2021 at 7:30 am. She lives on through her husband, Thiago Lira, her children, Hellen and Kyle Lira, and her siblings, Rodrigo, Renato, and Renata Almeida. 

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 from 2 to 5 pm at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington, MA 01803

The funeral from the Sullivan Funeral Home will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 9 a.m. and will conclude with a Funeral Mass at 10 am at St.Charles Church, 280 Main Street, Woburn, MA 01801

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.

Graziele “Grazy” (Oliveira) Lira faleceu dia 27 de setembro de 2021 após uma curta batalha contra o câncer aos 39 anos.  Grazy nasceu no dia 7 de julho de 1982, na cidade de Governador Valadares estado de Minas Gerais no Brasil. Filha de Gentil Almeida Costa e Sirley Oliveira de Souza. Aos 18 ela mudou-se para os Estados Unidos e terminou seus estudos aqui.

Casou-se com Thiago Lira quando tinha seus 20 anos de idade. Eles começaram uma vida nova juntos em Massachusetts. O casal foi abençoado com dois  filhos lindos.

Ela lutava bravamente contra vários problemas de saúde, e nunca deixou transparecer ao seus amigos. A Grazy sempre foi uma pessoa positiva, sorridente sem reclamar da vida. Nos últimos 4 meses lutou dolorosamente contra um câncer metastático pancreático de estágio 4, com a ajuda da família, amigos e da comunidade da igreja. Ela tristemente faleceu ao lado do seu esposo às 7:30 da manhã do dia 27 de setembro de 2021. Deixando viúvo Thiago Lira, e órfãos de mãe Hellen Lira e Kyle Lira. E também seus irmãos Rodrigo, Renato e Renata Almeida.

O velório será no próximo domingo dia 3 de outubro de 2021, das 2hs até 5hs da tarde, Na: Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St, Burlington, MA 01803

A missa de corpo presente será na segunda-feira dia 4 de outubro de 2021 na igreja Saint Charles Borromeo, 280 Main St, Woburn, MA 01801.
