Obituary of Philip D LeBlanc
Philip D. LeBlanc, a retired engineer, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He was 81 years old. Philip was born in Boston. He was one of 5 children born to Anthony and Margaret LeBlanc. He grew up in Arlington. He was a graduate of Arlington High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology. He spent his career working as an engineer at Bell Laboratories and Western Electric. He has been a longtime resident of Reading.
Philip loved learning about history, genealogy and was an avid reader with historical novels being his favorite genre. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who was a great role model, storyteller, and an excellent listener that loved to laugh. What was most important to Philip was his wife, Judy. Judy had vision issues from the beginning of their relationship. Judy was very independent, and he made sure that her vision issues did not limit her experiences and lifestyle. They traveled extensively and enjoyed spending time with extended family. They were a devoted couple and Phil mourned deeply at Judy's passing in 2009. He will be remembered a loving and supportive husband, brother, and uncle.
Philip was the loving husband of the late Judith (Anderson). Brother of Joan Vollmer of Marlton, NJ, Suzanne Carney of Melrose, Denise Bubar of Burlington, and the late David LeBlanc. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Thursday, November 4 from 4-6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading on Friday, November 5 at 10:30 a.m. Services will conclude with an burial in Charles Lawn Cemetery, Reading.
