Obituary of Joyce Mae (Ehart) Woodruff

Joyce Mae (Ehart) Woodruff, 81, of Richmond, passed away October 31, 2021 with her family at her side. Born February 24, 1940 in Trenton, NJ, daughter of Rudolph and Grace (Holcombe) Ehart, she was the eldest of two children. She spent her childhood attending field trials with her father and his beagles, cooking, socializing with friends, playing trombone, and excelling in her studies at Princeton High School. She attended Drexel University where she studied Home Economics, and developed a life-long passion for nutrition. She married her lifelong love, Frederick Bryant Woodruff III. They were inseparable and devoted to each other and were looking forward to celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary in January 2022.

Joyce enjoyed being a wife, homemaker, mother of two, and grandmother of six. She is survived by her loving husband, Frederick; two daughters: Donna Noonan, of Burlington, MA, and her four children, Evan, Jenna, Ryan, and Steven; and also, Brenda Beardsley and husband, Michael, and their two children, Jessica and Dustin of West Chesterfield, NH. Joyce is survived by one brother, Bruce Ehart and his wife, Verena, of West Windsor, NJ and their daughters, Michelle, and Jennifer (Jacobi) and her husband, Rob.

Services will be held at noon on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Richmond Congregational Church in Richmond, VT with a graveside service following at Riverview Cemetery on Route 2 in Richmond, VT
