He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Dolly for 62 years. Working two jobs throughout the years he was a generous father and an incredible role model for his children and grandchildren. Sam loved to work in his flower and vegetable gardens and was often teased by his neighbors that his lawn was better than the lawn at Fenway Park. He and his wife traveled extensively throughout the years visiting places like Italy, Bermuda, many exotic islands and cruises. He loved his friends and often showed his competitive side while playing the game of cribbage. He loved all sports, but mostly enjoyed Football, Hockey and Wrestling. Sam was part of the “Greatest Generation” who grew up during the depression, went off to fight in WWII, and gave of themselves to their country, community and family.
