Obituary of Sean Michael Carney

Sean Michael Carney passed away at the Lahey Hospital & Medical Center on January 2, 2022. He was 52 years old.  Sean was born in Brighton and was raised and educated in Watertown.  After high school he went to work in the Watertown school system in the Maintenance Department.  Sean loved his job and worked at all the different schools throughout his 23-year career.

Sean loved to decorate for all the holidays with Halloween being his favorite and Christmas a close second.  Sean loved his nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them.  Nothing gave him more joy than playing cards with them, most especially Uno!    Sean was a Boston sports fan.  The Patriots were his favorite! He had a close relationship with his mom, Bridget.  They loved living so close together in Woburn and being able to see each other daily.  Sean will be remembered for his big heart and his welcoming personality.   

Sean was the beloved son of Bridget McDonough & her husband Paul of Woburn and the late William E. Carney.  Stepbrother of Michelle Keefe & her husband Brian of Nashua, NH, Alissa Morris & her husband Chris of Hudson, NH and Jessica McDonough of Bedford, MA.  Proud uncle of Nelson, Brian, Chris, Aaliyah, Mikayla & Cameron. Funeral Services were private.
