Obituary of Eileen Mary Savoia
Eileen Mary (Pineau) Savoia, passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Saturday, January 8, 2022. The beloved wife of the late Joseph Michael Savoia, Jr., who passed away in January of 2021, she was 77 years old.
Eileen was born in Lowell. When Eileen was a small child, her family lived in Lowell eventually moving to Woburn. She was a graduate of Woburn High School. Eileen met her future husband, fellow Woburnite, Joseph Savoia on a blind date. They married on August 28, 1965, and remained in Woburn raising their four sons. Eileen’s primary roles in life was as wife and mother of 4 four active boys, however she did work at several places part-time. Together with her husband Joe, she worked at an insurance agency in Boston. She worked as a housekeeper at Howard Johnsons in Woburn, and as a sales associate at Lechmere in Woburn.
Eileen was very involved with her sons' lives and even a Den Mother when they participated in the Cub Scouts. As a family, Eileen, Joe and the boys enjoyed spending time at Lake Winnipesaukee, Loon Mountain, and at Hampton Beach. As a couple, Eileen and Joe took trips to Las Vegas and San Francisco. Eileen had many interests and hobbies. She enjoyed reading mystery novels, watching crime shows, and listening to music. Specifically, she enjoyed classic rock, and one of her favorite music groups was Journey. She loved the adventure of yard sales and had so much fun exploring all the bargains with her friend Roberta. Eileen will be remembered for her positive outlook on life, her easy-going fun spirit, and her infectious laughter!
Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Michael Savoia, Jr. She was the loving mother of Brian Savoia of Woburn, Joseph Savoia, III & his wife Audrey of Methuen, Derek Savoia & his wife Meg of Lowell and Justin Savoia of Henderson, NV. Eileen was the very proud grandmother of Chloe, Arianna & Lily Savoia. Sister of Leo Pineau of Billerica and Michele Osmond of Londonderry, NH.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Anthony's Church, 851 Main Street Woburn on Friday, Jan 14 at 10am www.woburncatholic.org. Burial to follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
