Obituary of Mary N. Rock
Mary N. (Muloney) Rock, a resident of Burlington for 58 years, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday morning, November 1, 2006.
Mrs. Rock was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married the love of her life, and the bond between she and her husband Bill was a remarkable example to their family. She missed him every day since he passed in 1985. Mrs. Rock dedicated her entire life to caring for and tending to her family, and she took great pride in her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. She could always be found at school activities and sporting events, and as her family reached adulthood, she was always there to encourage and support them through good times and bad. For her four great-grandchildren who lived locally, she was “Grammy Rock,” a fixture in all aspects of their young lives, and the best hug-giver around.
Mrs. Rock is the beloved wife of the late Harvey William Rock. She is the loving mother of Mary Rock-Cunningham & her husband Joseph Cunningham of Wilmington, William Rock of FL, and Deborah & her husband John Martin of Burlington. She is the loving sister of Elsie Donovan of Burlington and the late Thelma Dundon. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Friday, November 3 at 9:00 a.m. Followed by Funeral Services at the United Church of Christ Congregational, 6 Lexington St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Thursday 6-8 p.m. Interment in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
