Your Hug and Love Meant the World
Nobody else held me so tight
Or made me feel so right
No one's eyes shined so bright with love
As my mom, who is now high above.
The world lost a beloved mother, Patricia A. (Messner) Einarson, age 84, a longtime resident of Burlington, passed away peacefully Monday, January 17, 2022, with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Norman S. Einarson, and the mother of Jeff and Scott Einarson.
Pat was born in Norwich, CT., November 26th, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Ollie and Leona Messner. She grew up in New London, CT then moved to Holyoke where she graduated from Holyoke High School. Pat married her husband Norm in 1963 and they settle in Burlington, MA in 1967 where they raised their three sons. In recent years, Pat had lived with her son Scott and family in Billerica.
Pat led a full and active life. When her husband Norm opened his own business, Printed Circuit Technology Associates, she worked with him side by side. She was a make-up artist at Macy’s in Saugus and Burlington for over 30 years selling Estee Lauder make up. With her outgoing personality and love of people it was the perfect job for Pat. She retired at the age of 78.
Pat was very involved in her son’s lives. She was a club scout den mother, a hockey, lacrosse, and football mom. She was always in the stands cheering her sons on. When Jeff and Scott went off to college Pat would travel anywhere to watch them play lacrosse.
Pat loved to cook and entertain family and friends, especially the people on Sarah Street in Burlington. During the holidays Pat loved the large gatherings especially Thanksgiving being her favorite. She also enjoyed her outings to Foxwood and the Mohegan Sun in Conn.
Her greatest joy was her family, especially her seven grandchildren. Pat had a welcoming personality and always opened her home to family and her sons’ friends. Pat and Norm were avid boaters and owned a boat called “Sole Mate.” They kept their boat at the Fox Hill Yacht Club in Saugus. They enjoyed taking trips on their boat to Cape Cod or just hanging out on their boat with their friends on the weekends. Her family grieves her loss, but they take comfort knowing that Norm and Pat are together again.
Pat will be remembered for her vibrant, warm, loving and welcoming personality. She always provided support and love for her family. She was a woman who loved to laugh and lived her life to the fullest. Pat will be missed by her sons, grandsons, and many family and friends.
Pat was the beloved wife of the late Norman S. Loving mother of Jeff of Portland, OR, Scott & his wife Maribel of Billerica and the late Norman S. Jr. She was the proud grandmother of Ryan, Chris, Jared, James, Scottie, Brady, and Nathan. Sister of the late Gloria Courtney and Madeline McElroy. Funeral Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions in Pat’s name may be made to The Jimmy Fund www.jimmyfund.org.
