Obituary of Lillian Ramos

Lillian “Lee” L. Ramos, a chiropractic assistant, passed away at the Lahey Clinic on Saturday night, February 16, 2013 after succumbing to a long battle with breast cancer. She was 48 years old. Lee was a lifelong resident of Woburn. She was a Woburn High School Class of 1982 graduate. It was during her high School years that she met her future husband, Jose “Joe” Ramos. They were High School sweethearts and continued to love each other during their 28 years of marriage. She had worked as a chiropractic assistant for 22 years at Thayer Chiropractic Center in Winchester. She loved helping her patients and enjoyed the time spent with her coworkers. Lee was a loving mother to her 2 children. She was there to comfort and encourage them as they grew up, driving them to their sporting events, practices, and competitions. She was blessed to have seen her daughter marry this past year. She always thought of their wellbeing first and lovingly prepared a book of her thoughts, memories, and wishes for her children. She loved family events and holidays. She loved the ocean, especially Rye Beach. She was especially drawn to the ocean during coastal storms and thunderstorms. The beauty, force, and power of the ocean captivated her. She cherished her many trip to Puerto Rico to visit her family. She also enjoyed long walks in the quiet woods. Her passing is very difficult for her family and friends to accept, but she leaves them with countless memories all filled with loved. Lee was the beloved wife of Jose “Joe” Ramos. She was the loving mother of Laura Ramos-Brandao & her husband Brandlle of Woburn, and Joseph Ramos of Woburn. She was the daughter of William Queen, Jr. of Woburn and the late Lillian (Boudreau) Queen and stepdaughter of Patricia (Conza) Queen of Woburn. She was the sister of Charles Queen of Woburn, Susan Queen of Pepperell, Barbara Hill of Woburn, Karen Conza of Woburn, and John Murray of GA. She was the daughter-in-law of Juana & Natividad “Nato” Ramos of Litchfield, NH. Lee was also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128/95, Woburn side) on Wednesday, February 20 at 8:45 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 158 Washington St., Winchester at 10 a.m. Visiting hours at the Sullivan Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lillian’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
