Obituary of Joyce R Frizzell

Joyce R. Frizzell, a long-time resident of Burlington, MA, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the age of 93.  She was the wife of Robert D. Frizzell who passed in 1999.

Joyce was born to the late Ralph and Gladys Robinson in Vinalhaven, Maine.  She grew up with 2 brothers and 4 sisters that she loved dearly, with whom she shared a special bond.  She is survived by her daughter Carol L. Kane and her husband William and their children Jeff Kane and his wife Kristina, Julie Colby and her husband Steve, James and John Kane, and their grandchildren, Rachel Colby, Garrett Colby, Caleb Callaluca, Elizabeth Kane and Gage Kane, & Catherine White-McCarthy and her husband Dan McCarthy and their children Eric, Jordan and Caitlin White, and Jocelyn McCarthy.

After graduating high school, Joyce moved to Belmont, MA where she worked at McLean’s Hospital. She met her beloved husband Bob and married in January 1947. They settled in Burlington, MA where they raised their two daughters. They enjoyed frequent trips back to Maine to visit family and friends.

After 20⁺ years of service at RCA, now GE, Joyce retired. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending more time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, reading, playing games, puzzles, gardening, and baking. In her later years, playing bingo, watching antiques road show and the food network helped her pass the timely.  Her greatest joy was at family dinners and celebrations with her children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She will be missed dearly.
