Helaine Blonder Davis posted a condolence

So sorry to have read this sad news about Julie in the Boston Globe. Julie and I worked together in the Library at the National Heritage Museum (originally Museum of our National Heritage -- now called the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum and Library) in Lexington for many years. She was a truly unique individual: so bright, quick, very witty and just plain funny. We were in touch and then had lost touch over the past 15+ years since we both had left the Museum. Sending my sincere condolences to Christine and Robert, Bill, Michelle and Camden, as well as her entire extended family.
Sincerely Yours,
Helaine Davis

Julie was like a second mom because I spent so much time at her Lexington home - hanging out with Christine (and little bro Bill). She was the only mom I knew pursuing a master's degree and I remember her studying away for the MSW. I appreciated how she always made me feel welcome and I have fond memories of hanging out in the kitchen chatting away - I loved her little chuckle which would be sprinkled into the conversation. My family and I also enjoyed seeing her at the reference desk in the Lexington Public Library throughout the years. And eventually, I became a librarian too!
My heart aches for the family's loss. Reading the obituary reminded me of how amazing she was and I take some comfort in knowing she had a full life.

What a lovely photo of your mother! I first met Julie when she was a patron of the Woburn Public Library (where I worked) and then later we became condo neighbors. I was intrigued by her many interests but most of all I loved the fact that she had taken a course in how to be an investigator. It seemed to be a natural progression from reference work. But she was the only librarian I knew who had gone down that road!
My husband and I send our condolences to her family. May you all be comforted by the outpouring of love surrounding you.

Julie and I were neighbors for several years. We’d chat from time to time and help each other out with things as neighbors do. I’ve missed her since she moved, more so now that she’s gone, and am very glad to have known her – Ed Boyajian

I met Julie many years ago through Ann. She was a delightful person. The picture of Julie, Ann and Nancy was taken at Linda Epstein's wedding.
My sincere condolences. She will be missed.

It was a very long time ago I knew Julie when I babysat for her family. I remember her kindness and warm smile. She was a role model for me. I hope warm memories help you through this sad time.
