Obituary of Luis Espino Pacheco
Luis Espino Pacheco, but to those who knew him well “Louie,” passed away at the age of 89, in Winchester Hospital on December 18, 2021. He was the son of the late Manuel and Aurora and was born in Mariel Cuba, a small village located outside of Havanna.
In his 20s, Louie slipped out of Cuba in search of greater employment opportunities and to save for a better life for his wife and son. Louie made his journey to the United States when he was picked up by a Chinese ship. After years of saving, he eventually returned to Cuba and brought his wife and son to the United States.
For the past 40 years Louie had lived in Woburn, where he worked for 3M as an inspector until his retirement. In his spare time, one could find Louie regularly enjoying a book from the Woburn Public Library or going for a jog around Horn Pond. Louie was a fitness buff and was even a Judo and Karate Instructor.
Louie will always be remembered as a kind and quiet man, to those near to him. He was the dear friend of Sandra Montanez & Jose Diaz and their family.
Friends are welcome to gather at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Friday, March 4th at 1 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. with burial to follow in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
