Obituary of Marie A Provenzano

Marie A. (Clemens) Provenzano passed away at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell on Wednesday morning, March 9, 2022. The beloved wife of the late Anthony R. Provenzano she was 92 years old.

Marie was born in Winthrop. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Clemens.  Marie would meet her husband Tony through her brother Dick.  They married on February 14, 1954.  They lived in Billerica for a period before moving to Burlington in 1971 where they would raise their family.

Marie worked as an Adjustor for Microwave Associates in Burlington for 5 or 6 years but her primary role in life was that of wife and mother.   She was a loving and supportive mother who wanted nothing but the best for her children and made sure they did not want for anything.   She was a wonderful cook with her Italian recipes being her specialty.  Marie always looked forward to family gatherings and nothing brought her more pleasure than entertaining her family and extended family at her home.  She enjoyed working in her garden and tending to her flowers.

Marie and Tony totally enjoyed their retirement years together. They travelled throughout Europe and took numerous cruises with Alaska and the Panama Canal being two of her favorites.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late Anthony R. Provenzano.  She was the loving mother of Joseph & his wife Susan of Carlisle, Robert of Woburn, and the late Lisa Ross-Regan & her husband Steven of Nashua, NH.   Marie was the proud grandmother of Courtney Levesque & her husband Keith and Robert Ross.  She was the loving sister of Jean White of Methuen, Walter Clemens of Saugus and the late John and Richard Clemens.   Sister-in-law of Rose Murano of FL.

Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Sunday, March 13 from 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.  Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, March 14 at 11 a.m.  Burial to follow in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.  In lieu of flowers memorials in Marie’s name may be to Children’s Hospital, 401 Park Drive Suite 502, Boston, MA 02215 www. childrenshospital.org
