Obituary of Florence M Gullotti

Florence M. (Mooney) Gullotti passed away peacefully at Advina Care in Wilmington on Friday, March 11, 2022, she was 85 years old.

Flo was born in Waltham.  She was one of four children born to the late George and Mary Mooney. She was raised and educated in Watertown where she lived for most of her life.  Flo worked at Western Electric Company as a technician retiring after more than 25 years of employment.

Flo had a caring and nurturing nature about her. She was always putting other’s needs above her own with her compassion and care, especially when it came to family.  Throughout most of her life, Flo lived with and helped care for her mom Mary- all while being a single mom that raised and supported her daughter Jodie.  When her grandchildren Nicole and Brett were born, she would drive daily to Burlington to help care for them while her daughter Jodie and son-in-law Greg were at work.   Flo eventually moved to Burlington to live with Jodie, Greg, and their children.  She loved living in Burlington and would start her day with a visit to Dunkin Donuts.

Flo had a passion for traveling.  From visiting family in Maine to journeying to England and Italy with friends, she always made sure to bring the latest music and her best dance moves.  Her most recent visit was a Disney vacation with her grandchildren and family.  Flo loved photography and with each trip she captured special and memorable family moments.  When not traveling, her favorite pass-times while at home were her many cross-word puzzles, reading magazines and newspapers from front to back, and never missing her favorite game shows – Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune. Flo will be remembered for her outgoing personality, gentle spirit, and her total love for her family.

Flo was the loving mother of Jodie Barnard & her husband Greg of Burlington, MA.  She was the proud grandmother of Nicole & her fiancé Michael Heinz of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Brett of Burlington, MA.  Flo was the loving sister of Shirley Condon and her husband Bill of Hudson, MA and the late Francis Mooney and Doris Mooney.  She was aunt to Lisa Suarez, Raymond Condon and the late Scott Condon. Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Thursday, March 17 from 10:00am. – 11:30am.  Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at noon.  Services will conclude with burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Watertown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Flo’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association online at alz.org or mailed to National Processing Ctr, Alzheimer’s Association, P.O Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011
