So sorry to hear of the passing of "Moose". He was one of a kind for sure. We were on that trip to Daytona that "Anita Mae" mentioned in her post. It was a very memorial trip...due mostly to Moose. Will never forget the day he lifted up the back end of a cops bike as he was trying to take off. The look on the cops face. Who else would even think of doing that. Even the cop laughed. I have told that story often over the past 20 years. Got to see him two years ago when we were down to Ma. again. The world lost a great man.

To the entire McClellan family my thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad and difficult time.
Moose grew up just a few doors from my husband Harry and I and we watched yes, a gentle giant and a sweet man grow.
We were so happy for him the day he told us of his upcoming marriage that I had to go shopping for a special card and gift which he so much appreciated.
One year just before x-mas I noticed an old red sled leaning on his lamp post and called to ask if he was throwing it away and if so I would like to buy it and if not that he best take it inside before someone walked away with it and I told him not to look in my garage and we had a good laugh over that.
Less then an hour later the door bell rang and there stood Moose with sled in hand.
I told him no that I did not want to take it but he insisted, that was the king of man that he was.
As so many of his friends described him as touching many hearts I must agree.
Some people come into our life and are quickly gone, some people come into our life, leave foot prints on our hearts and we are never ever the same.
I know that describes Moose and that many hearts have his foot print.
Bless you and fine peace in your new home.
Love, Helena

From this day forward and days gone by, When someone mutters the term "Gentle Giant " it will be MOOSE that should and shall be pictured. I am sorry to say I have just heard of his passing 10 minutes ago and condolences to all his family and I share in grief and sadness with all of his friends, which are uncountable from over the years.
To all that would and have persecuted and passed judgement on him without knowing him your judgement day will come.
You bounced my babies on your knee and when they could talk they said, "Who"? I said, " MOOSE". And they said, "Okay". They have not forgotten. Neither shall I.
We wish you eternal peace and happiness.
Love, John, Maddie, Ali.

Well it had been years since I last saw Moose, probably when his dad passed. As I read through all of the guestbook entries, very fond memories came rushing back. During the good times, he was the most kind, generous, fun, loving, friendly, entertaining man I have ever met or had in my life. A person like Moose comes around once in a lifetime and I have to say that I have taken all of these memories, wrapped a big old bow around them, and placed them in my life's treasure chest. He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. Denise, Reena & Judy - My heart breaks for you. PS - For the life of me, I cannot remember why he called me Beamer's Woman....but I will remember some day and I am sure a smile will consume my face when I do. Moose lives on in spirit and memory.

Haaaaaaaay - thats what you'd hear,(call of the Moose) whether it be in the middle of the forest at a bonfire, or Laconia, the Cape, and all over New England and points south. When you heard the call, wherever it was, you felt at home, and in the right place. He was one of those guys who everyone and their mother knew, and liked. I know that if I make it to heaven's gate and hes standing there with the members book, checking names, he will be shaking his head with that silly grin telling me that im not on the list.
My life is but a weaving, between my God and me. I do not choose the colors He worketh steadily. Ofttimes He weaveth sorrow, and I in foolish pride, forgot He sees the upper, and I the underside. Not till the loom is silent and the shuttles cease to fly, will God unroll the canvas and explain the reasons why. The dark threads are as needful in the skillfull Weavers Hand, as the threads of gold and silver in the pattern He has planned.
farewell old friend, keep the light on for us
love Phil

One thing I knew about Robert. He loved my sister and her entire family very much. He was there for my sister. He was a very kind man. He was funny too. I remember no matter how cold it was Robert would be wearing shorts. It is hard for me to believe you are not here. You are now with The Lord and at peace. Robert always wanted to help any way he could. He will be missed but now in the arms of Jesus. Rest in peace dear Robert.

We shared so much over the 45+ years we knew each other, good, bad, and ugly, but we always came away still loving and respecting one another! My children adored you, you will always be a bright spot in their lives! Through all the years I always knew we could always count on each other, no matter what point our friendship was at, we could always reach out and the other would respond! You are truly missed already, I LOVE YOU so much, I am deeply sad! Until we meet again, Rest In Peace!!

Moose~~We would like to echo Andy's sentiments. What are we going to do without you? Funny, when I told Jenna, she said, "Do you mean Andy's Moose?" You always made Fourth of July fun!! A lot of people have said how you would help anyone who asked for it and that is exactly how I described you to others. You truly were a "gentle giant" and you will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers of sympathy to your family. May we meet again someday on the other side....Love, Stephen (Duck), Melissa, Katie and Jenna RIP Moose our friend

Or Anita Mae as Moose called me.I don't know where to begin,he was my third child, and I always was very protective of him.Moose worshipped the ground I walked on SILLY BOY.I saw him at his best, and coddled him in his times of need. The first time he came into my life, was a day he followed Donny Godsoe and I home on our bikes(cause he thought we looked like a fun bunch)LOL.He let Mandy at 2 yrs old fill his whole head with pretties, and wore it all day.I will miss waking up at 7am to find Moose wandering in my garden with his famous cookie tin.

Moose called me Anita Mae,and he was my third child in oh soo many ways.
One day twenty some years ago,he followed Donny Godsoe and I home on our bikes from Duncan Donuts, because he said we looked like a fun bunch..LOL
From that day on he was an honourary Lake Rat.
One of our kraziest memories are of the year we took him to Daytona's 50th.That man met half of the people there, and was an entertainment act all its own.
My children adored him.
I rescued him when he was naughty.
I coddled him when his demons surfaced.
I will miss waking at 7 am to find him in the garden with his cookie tin.
Moose worshipped me because I loved him even when he didn't love himself.
I know he is at peace now,and it brings me solace.
For selfish reasons I will miss his company, and the many assorted little gifts he left on my steps.
Godspeed buddy,I will see you on the other side someday.
Anita Mae
