Obituary of Debra Ann Lisano

Debra Ann Lisano, a woman who had a kind heart, strong family connection and great friendships, passed away on Sunday March 13, 2022 after succumbing to injuries from a fall.  She was 61 years old.  Debra was born in Lee Hall, Virginia.  She grew up in Burlington and was a 1978 graduate of Burlington High School.  She had wonderful memories and longtime friendships from her years growing up in Burlington.  She has made her home in Lowell for the past 19 years.  She was definitely a people person and enjoyed her career as a customer service representative in technology sector.  She enjoyed engaging with the customers and sales representatives and working on logistics.

Debra’s life revolved around her family, friends, and of course their dogs as well.  She was a devoted and caring daughter.  She reached out to her parents daily keeping them up to date on her life affairs and finding out the happenings with the family.  She often ended her conversations with her trademark lines “I love you, keep me posted.”  Auntie Debbie was the fun and extremely engaging aunt and great aunt.  She was so proud of each one of them.  She was always present at their recitals, games, events, and celebrations, of course arriving with gifts and goodies in tow, never forgetting the four-legged friends. Deb considered herself “Auntie Debbie” to the dogs as well, especially Ms. Brooke. At times going as far as sending birthday cards to them.   She was the kindest and most faithful friend.  She was a member at the American Legion in Burlington. As a friend, she never wanted to change anyone.  She loved everyone for who and what they are.  She had a huge heart that was filled with love, generosity, and forgiveness.  Her unexpected passing leaves her family and friends with heavy hearts. She was the most loving, caring, and generous person. Maybe we all can take a little of Deb’s kindness and remember to reach out to family and friends a bit more often, and just let them know that you love them.

Debra was the loving daughter of Nancy J. (Stascavage) Lisano of Burlington and William A. Lisano of Lowell. She was the loving sister of William A. Lisano, Jr. & his wife Amy of Burlington and the late Michael J. Lisano. She was the fun and loving aunt to William A. Lisano, III & his wife Heather, Michelle Noiles & her husband Bryan, and Marissa LaPointe & her husband Alex all of Burlington. She was the Great Auntie to Ella, Ava, Briar, Brooks, Quinn, Rosalie, Claire, and Eliza. Dear friend of Ann Colicchio of Groton. Devoted friend to many.

Visiting hours will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Thursday, March 17 from 4-8pm.  Funeral from the Sullivan Funeral Home on Friday, March 18 at 9am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Margaret Church in St. Veronica Parish, www.stveronicama.org, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10am. Services will conclude with a burial at Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington.
