Obituary of Diane Marie Bouley
Diane Marie Bouley passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022. She was 67 years old. Diane was born in Arlington and grew up in Lexington. She was a 1974 graduate of Lexington High School. She had made her home in Ft. Lauderdale, Arlington, and Woburn before settling in Groton 18 years ago. She loved the outdoors and animals. She had worked as a dog trainer and rehabilitated all sorts of wild animals like squirrels, racoons, and birds. Over the years along with the countless dogs and cats, she had pet ferrets, snakes, lizards, chinchillas, parrots, various other birds, and fish. She greatly enjoyed road trips and would get so excited whenever wildlife was sighted; Such as Moose, Fox, Deer, Hawk, and Eagles. She camped all over New England and all the way up to Canada. Russell Pond was a regular destination for the family; and she fondly remembered teaching her son the beauty in nature as a child. She enjoyed horseback riding, whale watching, and an occasional hike. She and her 40-year companion, Thomas Byrne, would spend summers in their cabin in Newfoundland, Canada since 1995. They both loved being on a lake surrounded by wildlife and nature. She was a wonderful mother caring and supportive to her son, Billy. She was an exciting, kind hearted, and a fun gramma. She would do arts and crafts projects with the kids, make knick-knacks, and search for treasures at yard sales. Her outgoing personality and caring nature made her much loved by all her friends and family.
Diane was a longtime companion and fiancée to Thomas Byrne of Groton. She was the beloved mother of Billy C. Bouley of Saugus. She was the proud grandmother of Billy L. Bouley and Brittany A. Bouley of Saugus. She was the daughter of Dorothy (McClernon) Murphy of Ayer, formerly of Lexington and the late Donald Bouley. She was predeceased by her siblings, Daniel, Donna, and Deborah Bouley. She was also survived by many friends. There will be visiting hours at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Sunday, April 3 from 3 to 5:30pm. and will conclude with a funeral service beginning at 5:30pm.
