Obituary of Norma Clifford Robichaud

Norma (Cheney) Robichaud passed away at her home on Sunday April 3, 2022 with her cherished K-9 companion, Charlie, at her side.  The beloved wife of the late Richard H. Robichaud, she was 94 years old.

Norma was born in Brockton. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Madelene Cheney.  Norma was raised and educated in Weymouth and a 1945 graduate of Weymouth High School.  After high school she went on to attend Art School.  Norma worked at Wang Labs for over 10 years as an Interior Space Designer.

Norma and Richard settled in Burlington in 1962 where they raised their three children and became an involved member of the community.  She was a member of the Burlington Historical Society, Republican Town Committee and Conservation Commission.  Norma was an active woman, always keeping busy.  She swam at the YMCA 2 to 3 days a week as well as playing tennis.  She enjoyed working in her yard and took great pride in her vegetable and flower garden.  Summers for the Robichaud family were spent at the family home in Wareham on Cape Cod.  Their home at the Cape was a beautiful home with a fishpond, a large landscaped yard and where many special memories were made for the Robichaud family.

Norma was a woman who found great joy singing in the church choir and was ahead of her time with a passion for the environment, women’s rights, and a healthy lifestyle.  She will be remembered as a warm, loving and strong woman who touched many lives in her 94 years.
