We are so sad to hear that your Dad passed away. He was a great man to be around...alwayslaughing,smiling or telling stories,as only he could.
Dick was my stats man for several years during Patriot games and truely was an "ACE STATISTICIAN".
Our trip to Ireland with him was memorable in so many ways...too numerous to mention. Our sympathies to your entire family.

I have known Dick for decades through my friend, Marlene Herlihy. He always greeted me with a smile and instantly made me feel like a member of his extended family. When Marlene and I would go on trips, he would chauffeur us to and from the bus depot or airport. Those rides with him were filled with entertaining stories or humorous anecdotes.
On occasion, he would welcome us back with a full course homemade dinner awaiting us at his house.
I'll never forget when he accompanied Marlene to a concert given by the Wakefield Choral Society of which I was a member. When the conductor invited the audience to join the choir up front, Dick was one of the first to offer his talented Irish voice in song. I was so proud of him!
When Marlene retired from teaching in 2001, he was right by her side at her farewell party. I loved him because of his ceaseless support of her and her sons.
It was a privilege to have known Dick even for a short time. His love, laughter and memory will live on in us. I have a feeling come St. Patrick's Day that he will be looking down from the emerald isle above with a twinkle in his eye for all of us.
Thank you, Dick, for your love and friendship. It was a job well done, my friend! When things get rough, I will always remember that smile. God bless.
