Obituary of Clifton D. Hughes

Clifton D. Hughes, passed away at his home after a year long battle with ALS, the beloved husband of Marcia (Magee) Hughes he was 46 years old.  Clif was born in Dorchester. He was raised and educated in Dorchester and Stoneham and a graduate of Stoneham High School.   Clif went on to graduate with his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Suffolk University and was working on his master’s degree, but he did not complete due to financial expectations.

Clif and Marcia first met at Suffolk University. It was while working at Arbour Hospital in Jamaica Plain that he was reacquainted with Marica Magee.  They married in August of 2004.  Clif and Marcia lived in North Andover before moving to Billerica where they would raise their two children.  Clif worked as a Medical Case manager at Cambridge Alliance Health for over 20 years.  With his caring and compassionate nature, it was the perfect job for him.  There wasn’t anything that Clif wouldn’t do to help others, it made him happy and content.   Clif was a longtime parishioner at St. Mary’s Church in Billerica and more recently St. Theresa.  His faith was an important part of his life.

Before their children were born Clif and Marcia enjoyed taking cruises.  As a family they had a memorable trip to Disney and took trips to New Hampshire.   The simple things in life made Clif happy such as listening to music or watching a movie with his family. Clif was a loving dad who was always there for his children Amber and Andrew.    Clif will be remembered for his good sense of humor and his love and devotion to his family.

Clif was the beloved husband of Marcia (Magee) Hughes. He was the loving and proud father of Amber and Andrew Hughes.  He was the son of the late Emily Hughes.  Brother of Kenneth Hughes of GA.  Dear friend of Kelly Demeulle, Steve Robbins, and Jay Hughes & his wife April.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Theresa Church, St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish, 466 Boston Road, Billerica on Wednesday, May 18 at 10 AM.  Burial to follow in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica
