So very sad to say goodbye to such a kind and gentle man. My Belmont High School class of 1963 was so very fortunate to have him as a teacher and our class advisor. Being not that much older than us, he could really relate to our problems and concerns. He came to all our reunions and seemed to enjoy himself as much as we did. His memory was amazing, remembering all our names and sometimes we were lucky enough to share a story with him. A huge thank you to his family for allowing us the privilege of sharing him with them for all these years.

Mr. Carey was my 12th grade “Modern Problems” teach at Belmont High School, 1968-1969. He was a gentle, smart, inspirational man. I loved attending his classes!!!
