Obituary of Carolyn Lauzon
Carolyn Lauzon, a loving wife, devoted mother, and proud grandmother passed away on Friday morning, March 8 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was 79 years old.
Carolyn was born in Newport, NH the daughter of the late Charles and Anita Marsh. She grew up in Nahant and loved the ocean, beaches, and sailing. Her fondest childhood memories included summers spent with her many friends and siblings in or on the water. She was often invited aboard to assist on the sailing yachts and racing sailboats. Carolyn was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School and had worked at New England Telephone prior to marrying and having children. Carolyn’s life was devoted to her family. She had a wonderful 57 year marriage to her husband Armand that was filled with love and laughter, and that was rooted in a common bond of providing for and supporting their children. Carolyn was happiest being an active part of her children and grandchildren’s lives. They were the center of her universe and she unselfishly did whatever was in her means to care for, support, and encourage them in their academics, sports, activities, careers, marriages and families.
Carolyn was the beloved wife of Armand Lauzon, Sr. She was the loving mother of Armand Lauzon, Jr. and his wife Denise of Tampa, FL, Jim and his wife Valerie of Avon, CT, Julie Mahoney and her husband Rick of Billerica, and Scott and his wife Andrea of Westford. She was the sister of Richard Marsh of Salem, John Marsh of Wakefield, the late Margaret Curdo, Anna LeBlanc, Ernest and James Marsh. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Armand III, Cecile, and Mackenzie “Mack” Lauzon, Army Sergeant Benjamin Lauzon, Elizabeth and James Lauzon, Nicholas and Ryan Lauzon, and Allyson and Brianna Mahoney. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington on Monday, March 11 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
