Obituary of Beverly J. French
Beverly J. (McCurdy) French was born in Malden on October 26, 1924. She received Jesus as her personal savior in her early teen years. Beverly has a lovely voice and sang many solos in her church choir. She was President of the Missionary Club. After graduation she worked for Household Finance due to her hard work and great ability with numbers she was promoted to Assistant to the Auditor. Bev met her husband Herb while young teenagers. He was the Love of Her Life! They married after Herb got out of the service in 1947. They bought a piece of land in Burlington and Herb built their home from the ground up (he was an
excellent carpenter). Bev stayed home to devote her time to Herb and their children Bonnie and Dean, the other two Loves of Her Life.
In the mid 1950's Beverly began to attend and became a member of The Church of the Open Bible which was then in Woburn. She followed to the Burlington location where she remained for decades. Beverly loved the Lord and she lived her life for the Lord. She would teach her children their Bible verses and would take them to Sunday school each week.
Beverly was the Sweetest, Kindest and most Humble woman who had Patience, Understanding and Faithfulness in Prayer.
Bev was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, she used to say she loved school vacations so she could spend more time with them.
She was a great baker. She would always make Herb's, Bonnie's and Dean's favorite cake for their birthdays each year. The cakes not only tasted great they were decorated beautifully, and they were filled with Love. Then the grandchildren arrived, Kristen and Jeffrey would have their special cakes which they loved helping Grama make. Her adoring grandchildren Kristen and Jeffrey would bake with her in the kitchen, as they would each take turns spending the summers with their much-loved Grama and Grampa. She would bake for family, friends, and church functions. There were always home-made goodies from pies, brownies, cookies, banana bread and cakes. They were enjoyed by so many, but especially by her family.
Herb and Bev had a home full of Love, Happiness and Laughter with the Lord as the head of their home. Bev was the most Loving, Giving and Devoted wife to Herb and Mom to her children Bonnie and Dean, and Grama to Kristen and Jeffrey. Beverly is a good and faithful servant to the Lord! We are so fortunate to have 98 plus years with "Our Mom"! God truly blessed us with this Beautiful Gift of "Our Mom"!
"Our Mom" will be with us Always!
