Obituary of Patricia A Edgerly
Patricia A. (Comey) Edgerly, passed away at Sunrise Assisted Living in Burlington on Thursday morning, January 26, 2023, she was 88 years old.
Patricia was born, raised and educated in Medford. She was one of two children born to the late Thomas and Mary Comey. After high school she attended Mount Ida College. She was working as a stenographer when she met her future husband, Bill Edgerly. They married and moved to Burlington in 1958 where they would raise their three children. Patricia worked several part-time jobs throughout the years, however her most beloved role was that of homemaker. Patricia worked at the Bank of Boston, Macom and at Filenes when the Mall first opened.
Patricia was a quiet woman who enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. She was a good cook and watched cooking shows on television. Patricia had a close circle of friends that she enjoyed spending time with. She was a supportive and loving mother to her three children. Patricia was a sweet and caring grandmother to her four grandchildren. She would always look forward to their visits, always remembered what was important to each of them and was anxious hear what was going on in their lives. Her great grandson Lennox was the “apple of her eye”, and she cherished her visits with him. In recent years Patricia enjoyed the companionship of Ralph Riccardi, whom she met while living at Stonebridge.
Patricia was the wife of the late William I. Edgerly, Jr. She was the loving mother of Lynne Rollins & her husband Mark of Sarasota, FL, Lauren Cadagan & her husband Brian of Reading and the late William. She was the proud grandmother of Shawn, Molly, Meghan & Courtney Cadagan and the great grandmother of Lennox. Patricia was the sister of the late Cheryl Poulin.
A visitation will be held at the Edward V Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., Burlington on Monday, Jan. 30 from 11:30am. – 12:30pm, concluding with funeral services at 12:30. Services will conclude with burial at Pine Haven Cemetery in Burlington.
