I had the pleasure of being Hank’s neighbor for several years, and always looked forward to seeing him. He shared many great stories and was as kind, caring and gentle a person as anyone could be. He loved his children, his dog Gucci, and was always a joy to interact with. I always thought of him in ways as the grandfather I didn’t have the chance to have, and treasure the time we were able spend together. Here’s to you Hank, thank you for your service, being a wonderful neighbor, and I will think fondly of the years I had to know you.

Dear Hank, I have a lot of good memories of you, but there are two that stand out that I would like to share. I will never forget all the good times I had with you at birthday parties, holidays, and get togethers, etc. at Freddie and Lisa’s house. It was always fun to see how your face would light up and how Harry and Charlie’s face would light up when they would open the unique presents that you gave them, such as the Hess Trucks! I also remember how kind, caring, and devoted you were to your late wife Ginny and how you gave up your life so you could help her live hers! You stood by her through thick and thin, and deserve a lot of credit for that. You have certainly earned your angel wings. Now soar up to Heaven, because I know when you get there, Ginny will be waiting for you at the gates and will welcome you with open arms and you can share eternal love and peace together. May you rest in peace. You will be missed. Love, Charlotte Shaw
