Obituary of Jamie Georgopoulos

Jamie Georgopoulos, age 46 passed away at home after a very short battle with cancer on Tuesday morning, November 7, 2006. Jamie was born in Malden the son of the late Evangelos and Gail Georgopoulos. He grew up in Medford and was a graduate of the North East Vocational School in Wakefield, where he studied culinary arts. He had resided in Burlington for the past 18 years. Jamie was an energetic individual. He worked as a technician at Harvey Industries for 18 years. He always had a second job. For the past few years he had worked at the Meadow Brook Golf Club in Reading as a waiter. His outgoing personality made him well liked by his co-workers and customers. Jamie loved the holidays. For 20 years, he has been adding to the spirit of the Christmas by playing Santa Claus at holiday parties, special events, and family gatherings. Nothing gave Jamie more pleasure than to see all the children’s smiling faces. Jamie is the beloved husband of Julie A. (Nille) Georgopoulos. He is the loving brother of Nick Georgopoulos of Murphy, NC, Linda Stephan and her husband Mark of Burlington, Steven Georgopoulos and his wife Annamaria of Melrose, Maria Rovinelli and her husband Rich of Atlanta, GA, John Georgopoulos and his wife Nancy of Cary, NC. He is the stepfather of Allison and Joseph Nille of Woburn. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Saturday, Nov. 11 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass at the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 70 Montvale Ave, Woburn at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Pine Haven Cemetery, Burlington
