Obituary of Anne Cormier

Anne M. Cormier, a woman whose life revolved around her family passed away after a 9 month battle with cancer on Thursday morning, May 2, 2013. She was 64 years old. Anne was born in Arlington, the daughter of the late Otto and Mary Henrikson. She grew up and was educated in Arlington and was a graduate of Arlington High School. She had a strong connection to Arlington and wanted to raise her 3 children in the town where she grew up herself. She moved to Burlington 6 years ago to be closer to her family. Anne was working for the past 10 years as a medical secretary at Belmont Medical in Cambridge. She had previously worked at Arthur D. Little for 15 years as a secretary. She enjoyed her work, but more so enjoyed her coworkers, clients, and patients. Anne made a point to see her grandchildren almost every day. It was always the high point of her day. Her life was intertwined with her children’s and grandchildren’s daily lives. She was always in the stands or on the sidelines cheering her family on or stopping for a visit with a special gift she discovered while shopping. Her home was the place for countless sleepovers, holidays, and special occasions. Walt Disney World was a very magical place for Anne and her family. For the past 17 years, the family would spend a yearly vacation together in Orlando. Despite her worsening health, Anne made one more trip to Disney 3 weeks ago. As the Disney song, “Making Memories” says; Taking pictures is making memories Catching little pieces of time Making them yours, making them mine Great vacations and celebrations Can fade away in a year But when we're making memories Happy days are always here Anne created countless and lasting memories with her children and grandchildren and it is those memories will always remain in their hearts forever. Anne was daughter of the late Otto Henrikson & Mary (Fitzgerald) Henrikson. She was loving mother of Sherri Campagna & her husband Ronald Campagna, Jr. , Lisa Cormier and Stephen Cormier all of Burlington. She was the sister of Otto Henrikson of Arlington and the late Shirley Bourneuf. She was the proud Nana of Joe, Nick, Danny, Mikey, Gracie, and Timmy Campagna all of Burlington.
