Kathryn Gulla ( Barrett) of Burlington, MA passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.  She was 82 years old.

She was the beloved wife of the late Agostino “Rocky” Gullaand the loving sister of the late Herbert Barrett. She was a devout catholic and loving mother of David Gulla and his wife Wendy of Littleton, Christine Gulla and her husband Joseph Gushue of Carlisle, Julie Orofino and her husband Donald of Sudbury, Robert Gulla and his wife Janine of Gloucester, Laura Gulla of Maryland, Christopher Gulla and his wife Paula of Billerica. Kathy was the cherished Nana of Connor, Mikaila, Alanna, Kelsey, Jessica, Caroline, Olivia, Taylor and Cassie. Her grandchildren were a significant part of, and a continuous source of joy in, her life.

Kathy had an amazing group of close friends: Mary Barrett (loving sister-in-law), Lorraine, Mary Burchill, Mary Rigby, Florence (Sam), Mary Fran and RuthAnn. Her friends and travel companions provided her with lots of laughs and amazing memories throughout the years.

Kathy loved her friends and family dearly. She could always be counted on for a delivery of homemade baked goods, a card, or just a quick call to chat.  She spent a lot of time enjoying her family, volunteering with her friends and crocheting amazing blankets for the special people in her life.

She was a very special lady who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Kathy will be held on Monday, July 17, from 4 to 7 PM, at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn Street, Burlington, MA 01803. A funeral mass for Kathy will be held on Tuesday, July 18 at 10 at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn Street, Burlington, MA 01803. Friends and family are invited to meet at the church. Burial will be private.
