Obituary of Harry Parsons

Harry R. Parsons, a husband, father, and mechanical engineer, passed away after a long illness at his home in Burlington on Friday night, November 10, 2006. He was 70 years old. Harry was born in Everett, MA, the son of the late George and Clara Parsons. He grew up in Everett and Malden. He was a graduate of Malden High School, and earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master Degrees from Northeastern University. He played hockey for Northeastern as well. He had resided in Burlington for the past 10 years and had previously lived in Reading for 35 years. Harry worked for over 30 years as an mechanical engineer for Polaroid. He is a co owner of Telemark Engineers, which was a consulting firm. In his leisure time he enjoyed skiing. He worked as member of the Ski Patrol at Nashoba Ski Resort and several other ski areas. He also enjoyed carpentry. Harry is the beloved husband of Elizabeth J. (Saulnier) Parsons. He is the loving father of Elizabethjayne & her husband Charles Miller of Meredith, NH, Jean & her husband Robert Carlin of Wilmington, Brad Parsons & his wife Kimberly of Gloucester, and Bruce Parsons & his wife Lisa of Marblehead. He is the brother of Hazel Hickman of Malden, George Parsons of N. Reading, and Jean Mead of Lexington. He is the proud grandfather of Alex, Liza, Bobby, Jimmy, Lee, and Owen. Funeral from the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Margaret’s Church, 111 Winn St., Burlington at 10 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Harry’s name may be made to Hospice Care Inc, 41 Montvale Ave, Stoneham, MA 02180.
