Vali Biriva Tolansi Mugeruzi Ngerula Buteba Frith, a loving son, proud brother, and Navy Veteran, passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2023, at the age of 25.

Born in Fairfax Country, VA to Clifton and Myriam, he attended Langston Hughes Middles school and then went on to South Lakes High School before moving up to Cambridge, Massachusetts. He loved the camaraderie of sports and the spirit of competition. He was a third-degree black belt in taekwondo. He was also a member of the diving team as well as the football and lacrosse teams. During High school, He participated in the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program, MATHCOUNTS, and First Robotics. After graduating from Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, he attended UMaine Farmington where he was on the snowboarding and lacrosse teams. After a year of college, he joined the U.S. Navy Reserves to serve his country proudly. Since his rocket received FAA clearance during NASA Space Camp on Wallops Island, Vali knew he wanted to build rockets and other space exploration technology. His recent move to Arlington, Virginia was to follow his dreams by pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering at George Mason University.

Vali will be remembered for being an honorable man and protector, who took duty and honor seriously. He had a great sense of humor and loved the Lord. Vali attended Abundant Life Church and participated actively in youth Ministry. Vali loved to meet new people, find common ground and mutual interests, and bond over it.  He showed up for everybody when someone needed him. He was a leading example to his younger siblings, and always made it a point to be present for those he loved. In the evenings and weekends, you would find him online where he formed the Eternal Legends gaming Clan with his best friend Dylan.

Vali was the beloved son of Myriam Joseph of Randolph, MA, and Clifton Lee Frith Jr. of Brooklyn, NY. He was the caring brother of Suverino Ntasi Frith, Mekinsa Emi. Frith, Peeramu “Ramu” Frith, and Jjoulensi Frith. He was the cherished grandson of Rodrigue & Amenie Joseph of Cambridge MA and Sarah Carmel Frith and his late grandfather Clifton Lee Frith Sr. of Brooklyn NY. He was loved by many aunts and uncles, on his mother's side Rodeline Joseph, Gregory (Woordlene) Joseph, Astride (Larry) Lisenby, Jean D. Guerrier, and Ronald (Rachel) Joseph.  On his father's side Samantha Frith Black, Herbie D. (Cheryl) Mickens, and John F. Massey.  Vali is also survived by more than 24 first cousins’ close relatives and dear friends.

A visitation for Vali will be held at the Abundant Life Church, 47 Howard St, Cambridge, MA 02139 on Saturday, August 5, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. Funeral services for Vali will begin at 10:30 at the Abundant Life Church. Services will conclude with a burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, 175 Broadway, Malden, MA 02148 following church service.
