Carmiletta Bond passed away May 5, 2013. She was born July 17th, 1925 in Wetumka, Oklahoma. She moved to Burlington in 2008 after the death of her husband of 58 years to join her son. She quickly adopted Burlington as her home where she resided at the Sunrise Assisted Living Facility. While she was 87 years old she was still young in all the things that make life worthwhile – sunny days, good food, family, and friends. She never wanted to be left out of life’s activities and enjoyed the close company of friends and caregivers at Sunrise. She is survived by her son Russell, daughter in law Maritza, grand children Melissa and Monica, sister Wanda George and brother Jim Green from Bartlesville, Oklahoma and brother Fred Green and sister in law Francis from Rangely, Colorado. She will be laid to rest in St. Petersburg, Florida.
