Obituary of Vita Reagan

Reagan, Vita (Clemente) of Burlington, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023 at 91 years old. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, William J. Reagan and her three children: Therese “Tracy” Patrone and her husband Joseph, William A. Reagan and his wife Sarah Cruz, and David Reagan and his wife Sabrina.

She is survived by her six grandchildren, Maria, Christopher, Sean, Juliana, Sarah, and Melanie, and one great grandchild, Stanley.  She was the sister of Victor, Philip, and Jack Clemente.

Vita was born in Boston and was one of five children born to Italian immigrants, the late Antonio and Maria Clemente. Vita graduated from Emanuel College in 1955 where she majored in French. She taught for ten years at the Hervey School in Medford where she would meet her future husband, Bill. They married in July of 1965. Vita and Bill lived in Long Island, NY when they first married, then Holliston before settling in Burlington in 1974. Vita retired from full-time teaching after her marriage to raise her children. Later she worked part-time as a substitute teacher and then at BayBank in Burlington.

Her great love was spending time with and doing activities with family. Vita was very artistic and created beautiful quilts, clothing, and crafts for her family. She enjoyed the holidays and loved to decorate, bake, and cook delicious meals for her loved ones. Vita took great pleasure in square dancing with her husband Bill.

Vita was a longtime parishioner at St. Margaret’s where she taught religious education and attended daily Mass. Vita believed in the power of the rosary, praying it after mass or at home with Bill. Vita will be remembered as a loving, generous woman who was devoted to her family and Catholic faith. She will be dearly missed.
