Obituary of Frances Roberta Price
Frances Roberta Price dedicated her life to children and the love of fashion passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 7, 2023. She was 63 years old. Frances was born in Bamberg, South Carolina to John and Louise Price. She grew up in Bamberg was a graduate of Bamberg Ehrhardt High School. She then earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina in 1982 and then her masters from South Carolina State with a degree in speech therapy. She started her career in the Orangeburg and Hilton Head SC school systems. In 1998 she moved to Boston to work with Eliot Community Human Services as a speech language pathologist in Everett, MA. She specialized in speech, language and swallowing disorders in young children. As a speech language pathologist, she evaluated, diagnoses and treats children with communication and swallowing troubles. Her greatest joy was working with children helping them with their speech issues. For Frances, her career was a truly a labor of love.
Frances was also all about fashion, glamour, and adventure. She knew the latest styles, trends, and accessories. No matter what the event, she had the perfect outfit. Whether it was ziplining with friends, a Broadway Show, the Symphony, charity event, a weekend in Kennebunkport Maine, or anything else,she was always had the perfect outfit. She loved to shop and always found the greatest deals. The ocean was a place for her to relax and she spent many weekends in Kennebunkport, ME and Newburyport, MA and was planning to spend her retirement in Myrtle Beach, SC. She loved going out with friends and was particularly fond of many of the restaurants in the North End of Boston. If someone suggested an adventure or travel, Frances would be the first to say yes. She saw the Macy’s Day Parade, walked the streets of New York during the holiday season, exotic vacations on the beach, Caribbean cruises, a quick trip to Canada, and countless other destinations. She loved people and had a beautiful, giving and caring heart. Her family and friends will miss her spirit, the way she embraced life, her Vogue-like poses, the way she energized everyone around her, and the love she shared with them all..
Frances was the beloved daughter of the late John and Louise Price. She was the fun and loving sister of Sandra Owen & her husband Keith of Orangeburg, SC and Elizabeth Richardson of Columbia, SC. She was the proud aunt of Jennifer and Casey. She was the dear and close friend of Tom Brady, Jr. of Burlington. She was also survived by many dear friends and coworkers.
